Yuliya Trishkeu is an acclaimed Soprano and the founding Artistic Director of Opera Vera, bringing together vocal brilliance, stagecraft, and creative leadership in service of Opera that speaks to today’s audiences. Celebrated for her emotionally nuanced interpretations and a deep commitment to contemporary storytelling, Yuliya is driven by a mission to present Opera as a living, evolving Art form.

Her artistry has been recognized with numerous international awards, including the Gold Medal Opera Prize at the VI Alion Baltic International Music Competition, the Brisbane City Council Junior Championship Trophy, and top prizes at the International Opera Competition in Kohtla-Järve and the International Vocal Competition in Velikiye Luki.

Yuliya earned her Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and went on to graduate with distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music, completing a Master of Music (Intensive), an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma, and the prestigious International Artist Diploma—an honor granted to only six musicians annually.

Her operatic roles reflect both vocal range and dramatic depth, with highlights including Blanche de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Geraldine (A Hand of Bridge), Giulia (La Scala di Seta), and the title role in Rusalka. As a soloist and recitalist, she has performed at leading venues such as Wigmore Hall, Manchester Cathedral, and The Stoller Hall, and toured across the Baltic region with concerts in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Finland.

In the UK, Yuliya has collaborated with UK companies including Clonter Opera, Opera Kensington, Rogue Opera, Ealing Symphony Orchestra, and British Youth Opera, where she was part of the Serena Fenwick Young Artist Programme. She has also featured in major concert events including Leeds Lieder, the Rachmaninov Festival in London, and the Revolution Retrospective at The Stoller Hall.

As Artistic Director of Opera Vera, Yuliya curates and produces work with a clear focus on 20th- and 21st-century repertoire, championing stories and music that reflect the complexities of the modern world. Her artistic leadership combines vision, innovation, and a commitment to excellence—establishing Opera Vera as an emerging force in the future of Opera.
