W. A. Mozart Cosi fan Tutte
or The school for lovers
In a new production of Mozart's most controversial yet sublime comedy, James McOran-Campbell and Alexander Anderson-Hall present an outrageous celebration of the art of fiancée-swapping.
Following the success of our run at The Actors' Church, Covent Garden in February, we are taking the production to Ruislip Great Barn, directed by Jonathon Swinard. Performances will take place on Friday 29 July at 7 pm and Sunday 31 July at 2.30 pm. Tickets at £15/10 are available here:
Cast: Susan Jiwey, Caroline Kennedy, Camilla Bull, Tom Morss, Peter Brooke, Håkan Vramsmo
Players of the Opera Vera Ensemble
'A nice whiff of the old days, looking for the piece's lightness and inconsequence - which after all doesn't preclude a measure of consequence - and succeeding'.
'Susan Jiwey was pick of the pack as Fiordiligi: a really musical singer, with an emotional voice and artful phrasing. Camilla Bull was the jolly-hockey-sticks Dorabella, Tom Morss an easy-voiced Ferrando, Peter Brooke and Hakan Vramsmo fine and personable baritones'.
Robert Thickness (Opera Now April 2016)
'An imaginative and sharp-witted performance...a fabulously polished cast'
